058: I am grateful for a job

We are back on the road, that’s for sure. Today I got a job. Yes, a J-O-B. Big deal, right? Well it certainly is to me. I am very much looking forward to helping out with the DOXA Documentary Film Festival this year as the Blogger/Social Media Coordinator.

Things seem to have turned around and are finally headed in the right direction. I was genuinely worried there for a while. I have not been working full-time since the spring. My body was sending me all kinds of stress related messages — my eye has been twitching, my tinnitus has been very loud and I went through a string of illnesses. Frankly, it has kind of sucked.

But when I heard the news today I felt a huge wave of relief go through me. One I am still basking in. Ahh!

What is a job?

A job is “a regular activity performed in exchange for payment, usually as one’s occupation. A person usually begins a job by becoming an employee, volunteering, or starting a business. The duration of a job may range from an hour (in the case of odd jobs) to a lifetime (in the case of some judges). If a person is trained for a certain type of job, they may have a profession.
